Structure of the Education System

 

The English education system is now known, began in 1988 when the new Education Act, 1988 Education Reform Act, which forms the basis of the current education system has undergone some changes in the last twenty years was introduced, especially because political changes. At the undergraduate level, students in the UK take the title usually after three years and submit final exams to graduate. For admission of international students at least 6.0 is required in English IELTS preparatory additional year, known as Foundation Year or competitive test scores A-levels.

Maestrías, MBAs y PhDs

The masters traditionally given in the area of Arts, Science or Business (MBA), usually lasting a year and require examinations and a thesis to graduate. Some specialized and research careers require a PhD or PhD, which lasts from four to five years of study and advanced research and a formal dissertation. For most master's and doctoral international students must have a recognized undergraduate degree and a good level of English (IELTS 6.5 level). For the MBA, they will need at least 2 years relevant work experience.

The DipHE (Diploma in Higher Education) are awarded by some universities and colleges after passing courses lasting two years, after which you can continue studying to obtain a degree or similar or not, since it is recognized qualifications, valued by themselves.
 
Students of modern philology, usually spend an extra year studying or working in a country where the language studied is spoken. Other races include one year of work experience. Although they have exams at the end of each year, the final grades are not based solely on them, because it is a system of continuous assessment in the delivery of work, class exercises, etc. are also important.

 

Master's Degree

 Third Cycle concept is imported into Spain under the same name. It is awarded after one or two years of specialized studies in a particular field, then the degree or the like. Generally, memory studies should be performed and in some cases a written exam must be passed. MBA stands for Master of Business Administration (Master of Business Administration); MA, Master of Arts (Art) and MSC, Master of Science (Science). The Master of Philosophy is awarded after two years devoted to research and approval of a thesis; usually appear in abbreviated form Mphil
 
Doctorate of Philosophy is the title that is accessed after three years of research, following the completion of the Master's Degree, and presentation of a thesis. It appears most often in two short forms D.Phil. PhD ..
There is also a post-doctoral degree, Higher Doctorate, awarded to academics after a remarkable research career.
